Hello our dear Family!

Hello Family
We realize it has been a long few months since you have recieved a update from us here at Tumaini Children's Home.  
We are sorry, we have been going through the bumps and trials of making this fantastic move that we have been blessed to make.  
Moving from city to rural seems quite harmless when you are in the thinking stage of things but when we actually picked ourselves up and moved out here we found it is quite a new experience for everyone.  
We had a staff of 12 in the thinking stage but as we moved out several of our staff including all our teaching staff decided they could not make the move.
 So Mom has been teaching until this last month when we hired our new teacher. 
 Things are going along really well, God is so good and faithful to His plans! 
 Please do not imagine we do not think of all of you even if you are not hearing from us directly because it is not true.
 You are on our minds constantly. We look around at what we now have as a home and Praise God for all of your payer and financial support with great affection.
We hope you will enjoy this casscade of photos to give you a small idea on how things have went since Tumaini Home moved to Ruach Farm.

Our Home today 2018! Alot of living and loving going on!



This is our Libray area of the sitting room. It has been our school room each day.  K-1st 9:00 to 10:30am, 2nd-3rd  11:00 to 12:30 and finally our 4th and 5 th graders in the afternoon.






Our temporay school house is not quite finished but hopefully by time 1st term break is finished!




Easter was great fun with friends.

This is looking down the 10 acres, orchard to the right, vegetable garden after and then the 2 acres of beans and 3 acres of maze.  The shinny roof you see in the distance is the purpose site for our Josh Leister family!  The ten acres to the right is our leased land and is being planted in maze, wheat and oats.  The dream of course is to feed ourselves and many others who can not feed themselves.

Holidays in Kenya!

Hi all our loved ones in the states! We are still very on and off with the internet. We just today changed to a new service, prayfully it will help our concistancy. We have now had 3 birthdays and Thanksgiving in Kenya. Marvin's, Myself andd Troy's we had people from 9:30am to 10:30pm ,it was a great day' On Thanksgiving we were invited to the Church of Christ,Discipleship Colege, to have lunch with all the foreign missionaries. That means that everyone was white excet the 2 wemon whom we have met who are married to Americans. It was very odd for us at first because we had not seen a group of whites the whole time we have been here. There were about 50 of us counting children, the children we have never seen in town. There were some from America, Germany, Switzerland and France. The Europieans do not celebrate Thanksgiving obviously but they like to socilize with other white foke. A Miracle Month!

Wow, what a month February has been! I think I will declare the unconditional love of God and His favor at the beginning of every month! We have had so many testimonies to God's miracles around us! So I am releasing the Spirit of Prophesy in proclaiming the testimony of Jesus! We have a new housekeeper ( described as house help here in Kenya) she has worked for us around 3 months. Her and her husband pastor a church in one of the slum areas,Heruma. This area was one of the areas most hit by the violence last year. Many sad stories, many women and children left abandoned because of a dead or just missing husband. Bea and Francis minister to these families! They are good people and good workers too, Francis has been working on the new house with Horace. While working in our kitchen Bea noticed that we had a super surplus of 500ml tins with lids. These tins are what the babies formula comes in and we go through about 5 a week. We have used as many as we could for storing different thi

Finally a new post!

Hello blog family! We are truly here! We have been very buisy getting things in order here at our new home. We set up a new internet system, this does not change our address or anything just how we operate from here. It has been quite a month. We have had a visit from Romanian friends that was just wonderful. We can not wait until they come again. They shared their love for chidlren with those we have here and encouraged us so much with their love for all of us and kenya. Thom Seagren & Dean Miller arrived on the 19th of Sept. and left on the 24th. They were able to check out the new house and work on long term planning. We saw the vision we all have for the orphaned children here in kenya come to life on this property and expand to future plans for the Jui Kali propery, it was a exciting time.
